Turin airport, built in 1953, has undergone several renovations since its inception. Firstly in 1989 in preparation for the World Cup the following year, then again in 2005 for the Winter Olympics.

Hosting a large number of international and several domestic flights, the airport peaks at approximately 4 million passengers per year. The most frequented flights being Frankfurt-Turin/Turin-Frankfurt and Rome Fiumicino-Turin/Turin-Rome Fiumicino.

Located close to some of the best ski resorts in Italy as well as the most famous football team in the Country, Turin airport also provides a gateway to Swiss and French ski resorts.
